John Rothenbueler, CEO of Kwik Lok Corp., has announced his plans to retire as of April 1. He will continue his role as board chairman, according to a news release.
Kwik Lok, headquartered in Yakima, Wash., is a family-owned maker and distributor of bag closures and labels.
Rothenbueler began his career as a public accountant in Washington. He started at Kwik Lok in January of 2015 and was appointed to the board of directors to the role of CEO in October 2015, according to the release.
In a recent Linkedin post Rothenbueler said, “While difficult to retire from a long and rewarding career, the new challenges and opportunities at Kwik Lok are a refreshing change.”
Kwik Lok’s board of directors appointed a new CEO, Don Carrell. He is currently Kwik Lok’s chief operating officer in the manufacturing sector and has held a variety of leadership roles, according to the release.
“I am committed to continuing the Kwik Lok legacy of customer service, innovation, and growth,” Carrell said in the release.
“We have a terrific team and are well-positioned for an exciting future.”
