The Giant Co. has added four electric vehicles to its fleet to fulfill Giant Direct customer deliveries — keeping fresh produce fresh in the Philadelphia area — while reducing its environmental footprint.
Springworks Farm, a certified organic aquaponic greenhouse company based in Lisbon, Maine, has received a $22 million round of fresh funding that will fuel the company’s regional expansion.
Customers will now be able to scan items with their phone as they shop — from loose items like weighted fresh produce to middle aisle products like cereal or canned goods — and pay for them using their mobile phones.
