The Fresh Market showcases local produce, meal solutions for 41st anniversary

The specialty food retailer is also offering a gift card promotion and sharing the stories behind products that make its brand special.

To celebrate 41 years in business, Greensboro, N.C.-based The Fresh Market Inc. is showcasing what differentiates it from other retailers: fresh, premium, specialty foods.

The specialty grocery store is a treasure trove for many gourmet products and unique events, according to a new release:

  • Local produce: The company works directly with local farmers and growers for high-quality fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Market meals kits: Savory all-in-one meal solutions for two, ready in 20 minutes or less. Each kit features step-by-step instructions and quality ingredients, made fresh daily with ingredients from The Fresh Market’s meat, seafood and produce departments.
  • Little Big Meals: Easy, delicious and affordable meal solutions for four.
  • Made-in-house guacamole: Made fresh daily with California avocados from The Fresh Market’s produce department.
  • Famous homemade chicken salad: Made fresh daily with five ingredients.
  • Fresh fruit tarts: Made in-house with more than a pound of fresh fruit from the produce department.
  • Cut-to-order events: The Fresh Market’s expert butchers bring the meat counter to a special table on the sales floor and cut different types of meat to guests’ exact specifications, showcasing in-store theatre and incredible deals on fresh meat and seafood.
  • Unique loyalty program: Guests are encouraged to sign up and start saving throughout the store with The Fresh Market’s The Ultimate Loyalty Experience.

Loyalty program members can get a free slice of The Ultimate Birthday Cake during their birthday month and special savings.

The Fresh Market operates 160 stores in 22 states across the U.S. It was voted as the “Best Supermarket in America” by USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards for 2022 and 2021, “America’s Best Customer Service 2021” by Newsweek and Statista, and a “top 5 most trusted grocery retail brand for specialty and natural/organic foods” in the 2022 BrandSpark Most Trusted Awards.

For the anniversary celebration, the retailer is rolling out a new product: Birthday in a Box for $49.99, and loyalty members get a $10 discount. The box includes:

  • Choice of Lemon Mousse, Strawberry Dream or Triple Chocolate Truffle Cake (6 inches) or Gluten-Free Dark & White Chocolate Layer Cake (16 ounces).
  • Homemade brand vanilla ice cream (48 ounces).
  • Caspari Confetti Happy Birthday plates (eight).
  • Caspari Confetti Happy Birthday cocktail napkins (20).
  • Caspari Pastel Candles (20).
  • Birthday greeting card.

The Fresh Market is also celebrating with a promotion through July 4, encouraging guests to buy $50 or more in gift cards for Macy’s, Nordstrom, Sephora, Olive Garden, Starbucks, Victoria’s Secret, Ulta or Outback Steakhouse. If they do, they will receive a $10 The Fresh Market register coupon to be used on a future purchase, valid for seven days.
