Eden Prairie, Minn.-based distributor Robinson Fresh continues to grow its pineapple program from Central America, said Jose Rossignoli, vice president of global sourcing.

Last year the company also started importing mangoes from Guatemala and is looking at expanding that program further in 2020, Rossignoli said.

“From Costa Rica ... we continue to expand our grower base and to secure fruit from the main two growing regions — Northern and Caribbean region,” he said. “This will give us geographic diversification and savings in the supply chain.”
