Aaron Troyer starts 2-year term leading FFVA board

Aaron Troyer, president of Troyer Brothers, Fort Myers, Fla., is the new chairman of the Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association.

Aaron Troyer, president of Troyer Brothers, Fort Myers, Fla., is the new chairman of the Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association.

Troyer will serve a two-year. David Hill, president of Southern Hill Farms, Clermont, is the board’s vice chairman. Outgoing chairman is Paul Allen of R.C. Hatton, Belle Glade.

New board member started their terms during the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association’s board of directors and annual membership meetings on Sept. 29, according to a news release.

Troyer said his mission will be to “protect and defend Florida specialty crop agriculture” and continue work on trade relief measures to “remedy harm suffered by producers from unfair Mexican trade policies and practices,” according to the release.

“Aaron Troyer is an outstanding leader and will do an excellent job guiding FFVA over the next two years as we continue our very important work on trade, workforce, legislation and other issues,” FFVA President Mike Joyner said in the release.
