BrightFarms, a Cox Farms brand, says it has relaunched its baby spinach as the first product in its new Specialty Greens line, a premium extension of its greenhouse-grown leafy greens sourced from both greenhouse and vertical farms.
The brand says its new Specialty Greens line continues the company’s pesticide-free, always-fresh standard to a growing range of greens.
BrightFarms says its baby spinach products are grown indoors and that it has worked with trusted growers to perfect indoor production. This year-round indoor production prevents weather-related supply disruptions.
BrightFarms’ baby spinach will be available in stores by mid-June across a broad set of retail partners including Wegmans, Harris Teeter, Big Y and Kroger and will expand to Roundy’s in August.
“Consumers are paying attention to where their food comes from and how it’s grown,” says Matt DiNitto, executive vice president of sales at BrightFarms. “The Specialty Greens line gives retail partners a credible, scalable answer to that demand.”
