Bolthouse Fresh Foods highlighted new ways for consumers to enjoy carrots at the 2026 International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral Show in Orlando, Florida, showcasing products designed for snacking, side dishes and meal prep.
Kim St. George, vice president of sales and marketing at Bolthouse, joined The Packer to discuss the company’s latest innovations, sustainability efforts and opportunities to expand carrot consumption.
Among the featured products were Tajín Carrot Shakers, which combine fresh carrots with seasoning for on-the-go consumers, and Carrot Fries, available in a variety of flavors. The company also highlighted Organic Side Dish Sizzlers and the return of Soup N’ Stewin’, a pre-cut carrot offering that some retailers are carrying year-round.
St. George said the company is focused on developing products that appeal to different consumer preferences, whether shoppers enjoy carrots raw, cooked or as part of a prepared meal.
“There’s a lot of different ways to enjoy carrots,” St. George said.
Sustainability was another focus of the interview. St. George said Bolthouse Fresh Foods utilizes approximately 99% of the carrot, with portions not used in its fresh products repurposed for other usage.
“We use everything from the tip all the way to the top of it,” she said.
According to the company, carrot tops are returned to the field as fertilizer, while other portions can be used in products such as juices, purees and fiber ingredients.
Based in California’s Central Valley, Bolthouse Fresh Foods grows, processes and markets fresh carrots for retail, foodservice and industrial customers.
Looking ahead, St. George said the company is exploring additional packaging formats, retail channels and product offerings to meet consumers’ changing needs.
