G&R Farms A Leader in More Than Vidalia Onions

G&R Farms
G&R Farms
(G&R Farms)

For generations G&R Farms has been honing their farming craft. Making improvements to operations and setting a standard for continuous improvement to remain viable for generations to come.

It all started in 1945 with a small farm in Southeast Georgia and what would become the original sweet onion when the Dashers and G&R Farms shipped the first Georgia sweet onions to Piggly Wiggly…and the rest you might say, is history and became what we know as the Vidalia onion industry.

It's that growing history that pushes G&R forward, not to just grow more onions, but to grow the best onions and make the most impact.

For G&R “make a difference,” means asking improving staff, community, industry, partners and the business. In fact, G&R Farms has become known for their signature Growing America’s Farmer programs.  During the last six years G&R has donated over $350,000 to the National FFA Foundation to support grants and scholarships for students pursuing careers in production agriculture.

With spring nearly here, our Vidalia onions are almost ready for their April debut and G&R Farms is ready to help promote Vidalia onions.
