Mastronardi Produce highlighted new packaging, expanded organic offerings and fresh snacking options at the 2026 International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral Show in Orlando, Florida.
The company showcased its GOAT tomato in a round paperboard container with bamboo-inspired finishes, along with new packaging formats for several products under the SUNSET brand.
Amanda Orr, communications manager at Mastronardi Produce, joined The Packer at the show to discuss the company’s latest offerings and how consumer demand is influencing product development.
“People are really looking to try a lot of different types of produce,” Orr said. “They’re looking for quality and flavor.”
Among the products featured were Angel Sweet tomatoes and Pop Its cucumbers in a new oval snacking cup designed for on-the-go consumers. The company also showcased its Tomato Branch tomatoes in the award-winning triangular packaging.
Mastronardi Produce also highlighted additions to its organic lineup, including Bombs Squad and Sugar Bombs alongside Organic Flavor Bombs.
Orr said convenience remains an important consideration as consumers look for quick, easy and healthy snack options.
“Making fresh produce portable and available for consumers on the go is really a great opportunity to allow for that healthy, fresh snacking,” Orr said.
Headquartered in Kingsville, Ontario, Mastronardi Produce is a fourth-generation, family-operated business that grows and markets greenhouse produce under the SUNSET, Backyard Farms and Queen of Greens brands.
The company continues to explore product development and packaging innovations in response to changing consumer preferences.
