Consalo Family Farms, Egg Harbor City, N.J., will be updating and streamlining the electronic field traceability system on its blueberry farms, said Chelsea Consalo, vice president of produce operations.

“I am personally spearheading this effort and am partnering with Orange Enterprises to use their technology: PET Tiger, Payroll Employee Tracking,” she said.

This technology will incorporate different tools, such as handheld devices in the fields and biometrics.

“This system allows us total traceability,” she said.
