Food safety seminars rescheduled

Food safety web seminars that were delayed by the government shutdown have been rescheduled.

Food safety web seminars that were delayed by the government shutdown have been rescheduled.

Food and Drug Administration speakers will be present during each of three web seminars, organizers said.

Sponsored by the Produce Marketing Association, the United Fresh Produce Association, Western Growers, the Canadian Produce Marketing Association and the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition, the events are now set for:

  • Overview of Draft Guidance for Industry: Standards for the Growing, Harvesting, Packing and Holding: Feb 28, 11 a.m. Eastern. Register online.
  • Overview of Draft Guidance for Industry: Guide to Minimize Food Safety Hazards of Fresh-cut Produce: Feb 28 at 1 p.m. Eastern. Register online.
  • Overview of Produce Safety Rule Inspections: 1 p.m. Eastern. Register online.
