Reichel Foods, Rochester, Minn., has recalled two Pro2Snax products because they contain hard-boiled eggs involved in a Listeria monocytogenes outbreak.

The snack packs contain:

  • Granny smith apple slices, egg, cheddar cheese, almonds and dried cranberries with a Universal Product Code of 649632001490; and
  • Gala apple slices, egg, white cheddar cheese, almonds and dried cranberries with a UPC of 649632001483.

The eggs were supplied by Almark Foods from a Gainesville, Ga., facility that has suspended operations, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Seven people in five states have been identified with the same strain of Listeria monocytogenes that was detected in environmental samples from the Georgia facility, according to an FDA news release. None of the illnesses are related to Reichel Foods’ products, according to a news release from the company.
