Pure Hothouse Foods, Leamington, Ontario, is adding organic greenhouse growers for its Pure Flavor brand and is launching a culinary line.

The Craft House Collection is for “those who really like to cook and get creative in the kitchen,” Matt Mastronardi, executive vice president, said in a news release.

“The first two items to be featured in the collection are our Mini San Marzano Tomatoes and Aurora Long Sweet Peppers,” he said in the release. “Both items are not only great for snacking but are cooking items with unique flavors and textures that you rarely discover.

“They really are the best of the grill, bake, stuff, and sauté worlds.”

Pure Flavor developed the Craft House Collection with six restaurants, which will feature items in the line on menus.

The Craft House Collection will be available for retailers and foodservice operators, and launches at the Canadian Produce Association’s Convention and Trade Show April 3-4 in Montreal.

The company is featuring dishes from Pure Flavor’s executive chefs on the expo floor, at booth No. 2219.

The company plans to display new organic products at the booth. Pure Flavor has been adding growers for all commodities, according to the release, and has eight organic products in its organic program.

“We are extending our reach every season by adding to our family of growers in strategic regions throughout North America,” Jamie Moracci, president, said in the release. “Increased demand for our organics program has prompted us to expand our Canadian organic product offering.”

Pure Flavor’s participation in Foodland Ontario, a consumer promotion program of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, is growing demand for organic greenhouse vegetables, according to the release.
