Foodservice distributor Golbon, Boise, Idaho, recently recognized members during its annual awards program, an online event this year.
The company prepared a video presentation for the ceremony.

Distributor awards, according to a news release, include:

  • Distributor of the Year: Atlas Wholesale Food Co., Detroit;
  • New Distributor of the Year: Vern’s Food Service Distribution, Hermiston, Ore.;
  • Golden Carrot Award: Sunbeam Foods Inc., Dallas;
  • Golbon Logistics Award: Get Fresh Produce, Chicago; and
  • Carolina Food Service, Loris, S.C.

The logistics award is based on criteria that includes logistics purchases and the scope of managed freight, according to the release.

"(Get Fresh Produce) utilized FTL, LTL and consolidated truck loads,” according to the release. “Congratulations to Sam Perry and the entire Get Fresh Produce team!”
