Coastal Pacific Food Distributors awarded supply contract

Stockton, Calif.-based Coastal Pacific Food Distributors Inc. was awarded a $32.6 million contract to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to commissaries in Japan.

Stockton, Calif.-based Coastal Pacific Food Distributors Inc. was awarded a $32.6 million contract to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to commissaries in Japan.

The award, announced in March, is for a 24-month base performance period beginning on May 1 and includes three one-year option periods. If all options periods are exercised, the contract will be completed April 30, 2026, according to the announcement.

Offerers were solicited via email and on the beta.SAM.gov website with eight proposals received. The Defense Commissary Agency, European Region, Resale Contracting Division, Kaiserslautern, Germany, is the contracting activity.
