The Texas International Produce Association has postponed the Viva Fresh Expo, and is considering whether to cancel it altogether, as concerns about COVID-19 escalate.

“Because the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, staff and volunteers are our number-one priority, we will not be moving forward with the Viva Fresh Expo as scheduled on April 29 – May 2,” according to a statement on the association’s website, vivafreshexpo.com. “We are reviewing options for either postponement or cancellation and we’ll keep you updated on our progress.”

Sponsors, exhibitors and attendees can have any fees paid to be shifted to the 2021 Viva Fresh Expo, according to TIPA, or can request an 80% refund. The former option “will go a long way in our ensuring our ability to continue to deliver the exceptional trade show experience that the Viva Fresh Expo has become known for,” according to the statement.
