DLF International announces operation expansions and staff updates

Feek Properties LLC, which owns Fort Pierce, Fla.-based DLF International, has added 750 new acres for grapefruit production this year and are in the process of expanding further, said Doug Feek, president.

Feek Properties LLC, which owns Fort Pierce, Fla.-based DLF International, has added 750 new acres for grapefruit production this year and are in the process of expanding further, said Doug Feek, president.

DFL International has also added a new bagging system for packing large fruits as well as a test auto-place packing system and a new tray former. This equipment will allow the company to improve its efficiency and quality, he said.

The company is also designing a 35,000 square-foot distribution center that will allow them to store valencia oranges on-site and expand into other produce distribution.

Ed Sheubrooks has joined the company sales team as a sales manager for the Northeast and Midwest areas, and Russel Kiger has been promoted to sales director of new accounts and will focus on expanding and developing outreach into new markets as well as growing existing accounts, Feek said Ben Backus will remain sales manager for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic area, and Jordan Feek will coordinate with the sales team for implementing DFL marketing goals and providing marketing support.
