Florida produce firm awarded $189M contract

Freedom Fresh LLC, Medley, Fla., has been awarded a five-year, $189.5 million contract to supply fresh fruit and vegetables to government customers.

Freedom Fresh LLC, Medley, Fla., has been awarded a five-year, $189.5 million contract to supply fresh fruit and vegetables to government customers.

According to the Department of Defense, the fresh fruit and vegetable contract is fixed price with economic price adjustment, as well as indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity. The contract was competitive with three other responses received, according to the release.

The ordering period’s end date is Aug. 1, 2028. Using customers are the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and USDA schools, the release said.

The contracting agency is the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia.
