Galeazzi talks Viva Fresh, border issues

The Packer’s Tom Karst visited the morning of April 12 with Dante Galeazzi, president and CEO of the Texas International Produce Association, about the upcoming Viva Fresh show in San Antonio and border issues.

The Packer’s Tom Karst visited the morning of April 12 with Dante Galeazzi, president and CEO of the Texas International Produce Association, about the upcoming Viva Fresh show in San Antonio and border issues.

With expectations of a great show, Galeazzi said the April 25-27 event has 169 exhibitors and expects close to 2,300 attendees. Buyer participation is expected near 340, he said.

Galeazzi also talked about reports of three to six hour- delays in border crossings of Mexican produce into south Texas, and how the industry is responding.
