Giorgi Mushroom Co. Acquires L.F. Lambert Spawn Co.

The mushroom-focused subsidiary of The Giorgi Companies, Inc. acquired majority equity ownership in L.F. Lambert Spawn Co. to enhance supply chain security.

Giorgi Mushroom Co., a subsidiary of The Giorgi Companies, Inc., announced its acquisition of majority equity ownership in L.F. Lambert Spawn Co. on July 1. The acquisition is a strategic effort to enhance Giorgi’s supply chain security, the company says, with Lambert bringing decades-long expertise in spawn production and agricultural innovation.

Lambert Spawn Co. to deliver unparalleled quality and innovation in the mushroom industry,” says Mark Currie, president of Giorgi Mushroom Co., in a news release. “Together, we are poised to unlock new opportunities and set the bar even higher in meeting the needs of mushroom growers and consumers alike.”
