The Packer’s GOPEX 2025 is set for Jan. 13-14 at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort in Aventura, Fla.

Topics covered at the expo will include:

  • Retailer and consumer perspectives.
  • Organics.
  • Global trade in organic.
  • Regenerative agriculture.
  • Innovation and technology.
  • Business-to-consumer marketing.
  • Food trends.

GOPEX draws retailers, grower-shippers, wholesalers, importers, exporters and other decision-makers from across the fresh produce industry.

The event includes an optional golf tournament, a poolside reception, a Sunrise 5K Walk/Run, and BizMatch sessions.

A Jan. 14 session will examine how retailers are driving organics in-store, online and beyond. The session will include panelists from Natural Grocers and Sprouts.

Another session, presented by Darren Seifer, industry advisor at Circana, will look at the organic produce shopper and the key to driving their loyalty.

Seifer will explore what makes the organic produce shopper tick, how organic produce is being seen by current base consumers of “affluent” as well as new emerging vital shopper groups such as Generation Z and how retailers and suppliers can best position themselves to drive sales in the category.

The Jan. 14 closing keynote speaker, consultant Steve Lerch, will discuss engaging conscious consumers.

“Consumer behavior and purchase drivers are evolving faster than at any point in human history,” the event website said. “The way we gather information, make purchase decisions and even the voices we trust look dramatically different than they did just five years ago. If the fresh produce industry wants to reach, influence and forge relationships with this important consumer, it needs to understand them, pay attention to what they’re paying attention to, care about what they care about, and speak their language.

The event’s expo is set for the afternoon of Jan. 14. Registration for GOPEX 2025 is available online.
