Illume Agriculture takes over management of Bagdasarian Farms

Illume Agriculture is in charge of the Bagdasarian grape deal, having taken over the management of vineyards formerly owned by Bagdasarian Farms, which has sold its farming assets to a private equity group.

Bakersfield, Calif.-based Illume Agriculture is in charge of the Bagdasarian grape deal, having taken over the management of vineyards formerly owned by Mecca, Calif.-based Bagdasarian Farms, which has sold its farming assets to a private equity group. “It is our first year and the crop is looking good,” said David Clyde, vice president of sales and marketing for Illume Agriculture. The company will have fruit out of Coachella and transition to the San Joaquin Valley in July. Peak for Coachella Valley grape volume will be in mid-June, he said.
