Los Angeles firm awarded federal supply contract for fresh produce

The maximum $955.5 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is for five years.

Val-Pro Inc., doing business as Valley Fruit & Produce Co., Los Angeles, has been awarded a maximum $955.5 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for fresh fruits and vegetables.

This was a competitive acquisition with four responses received, according to a news release. The five-year contract with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support has an ordering period end date of Sept. 1, 2029.

Using customers are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and USDA schools and reservations, the release said.
