Rainier Fruit Co. promotes David Armenta

Selah, Wash.-based Rainier Fruit Co. has promoted David Armenta to sales manager, overseeing both domestic and export sales teams, according to a news release.

Selah, Wash.-based Rainier Fruit Co. has promoted David Armenta to sales manager, overseeing both domestic and export sales teams.

The promotion took effect at the end of 2021, company officials said in a news release.

“It was an obvious choice to promote David,” Blake Belknap, vice president of sales at Rainier, said in the release. “His desire, dedication to the company and his ability to come alongside his coworkers is unmatched.”

Armenta started his career as a produce clerk while attending college in California. After graduating, he transitioned to a buying position in retail, according to the release.

As a produce buyer, Armenta recognized the powerful reputation of Rainier and was keen to join the company when the opportunity presented itself, he said in the release.

Having worked at Rainier Fruit Co. for 17 years now, Armenta said in the release that he enjoys the new challenges that the fresh produce industry brings each year.

“I’m most excited about giving back, to help develop and prepare the next generation of talent for Rainier Fruit Company,” he said in the release.
