United Fresh offers web seminars on retail, foodservice trends

The United Fresh Produce Association is offering web seminars on Feb. 23 and Feb. 25 that will take a deep dive into foodservice and retail sales trends.

The United Fresh Produce Association is offering web seminars on Feb. 23 and Feb. 25 that will take a deep dive into foodservice and retail sales trends.

The web events will be hosted by the United Fresh Retail-Foodservice Board and will feature the soon-to-be-released Fresh Insights for Foodservice Winter 2021 and FreshFacts on Retail Q4/ 2020 Year in Review issues, according to a news release.

The retail web event will look at fourth-quarter performance and evaluate sales trends for the top 10 fruit and vegetable commodities at retail across the entire past year. Moderated by Jeff Cady, director of Produce and Floral at Tops Friendly Markets, the webinar will feature analysis from Mike Galaburda, client director of Nielsen, audience question and answer from the audience, and interactive discussion with Ajit Saxena from Mucci Farms.

The foodservice web event will be moderated by Sarah Grady, U.S. Strategic Supply Chain at McDonald’s and chair of the United Fresh Retail-Foodservice Board and will include insights and analysis from Mike Kostyo, trendologist at Datassential, and audience question and answer and interactive discussion.
