USApple to host weather webinar

Drew Lerner, senior agricultural meteorologist and president of World Weather, will share his predictions for spring bloom and weather events that might affect production this growing season.

The U.S. Apple Association plans to present a weather-focused webinar on April 4 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time with Drew Lerner, senior agricultural meteorologist and president of World Weather.

Lerner will share his weather predictions for this growing season from spring bloom through summer, according to an announcement from USApple. He will also highlight events and trends that could affect the 2024 growing season and apple production.

USApple said he also will talk about the major growing regions in the U.S.

Lerner has been forecasting international weather for the agriculture industry for more than 45 years.

“He has been supporting the agricultural industry by providing detailed short- and long-range weather predictions to support companies wanting to make better decisions,” USApple said in the announcement.
