Whole Foods Market is using its new podcast, “Beyond the Board,” as a storytelling series that spotlights guests — from founders of major brands to up-and-coming suppliers to community leaders and policymakers — who are all working to nourish people and the planet.

The May 1 premiere episode features Whole Foods Market CEO Jason Buechel in conversation with Cloud23 founder Brooklyn Peltz Beckham.

“‘Beyond the Board’ offers listeners a behind-the-scenes look at how purpose-driven businesses are built, letting them hear directly from changemakers shaping the future of food and wellness,” Buechel said in a news release. “The series is a celebration of the incredible stakeholders in our community, the stories behind the products on our shelves and the values that connect us.”

New episodes will be released regularly, featuring conversations about innovation, perseverance and meaningful impact on food and agriculture, according to the company. Upcoming guests include leaders from Caulipower, GoodPop, Momofuku, Dr. Bronner’s and more, and the podcast will feature a rotating cast of hosts from Whole Foods Market’s leadership team, including Buechel, Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer Sonya Gafsi Oblisk and Senior Vice President of Merchandising Alyssa Vescio, the release said.

“Beyond the Board” is available on Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts and the Whole Foods Market Newsroom.
