April Crittenden to oversee CCOF Certification Services

CCOF Certification Services, Santa Cruz, Calif., has promoted April Crittenden to chief certification officer.

CCOF Certification Services, Santa Cruz, Calif., has promoted April Crittenden to chief certification officer.

Crittenden, who joined the organic certifier 10 years ago as a farm certification specialist, has also been quality and compliance supervisor at the organization. She begins the new position April 16, according to a news release.

She has helped develop content for the group’s website, was responsible for overseeing complaints and investigations, and helped shape CCOF’s policy on interpreting GMO sample results and overall management of the residue results review process, according to the release.

“April is uniquely qualified to lead CCOF Certification Services LLC,” Kelly Damewood, CCOF CEO, said in the release. “She steps into her new role with a proven ability to oversee complex certification issues and a long track record of upholding organic integrity across the supply chain.”
