The expansion of organic meals at in-store foodservice settings will be the focus of an educational session at the 2019 Organic Produce Summit.
The session, called “The Future of Organic Meals at Retail,” will be moderated by moderated by Jonathan Steffy, vice president and general manager for Ephrata, Pa.-based Four Seasons Produce, according to a news release.
Panelists are Sheryl Salazar, produce sales manager for Albertsons/Vons, Fullerton, Calif., and Glenn Daniels, vice president of sales-East for Earthbound Farm, San Juan Bautista, Calif.
“The evolving demands of consumers for fresh and healthy organic meals has created new opportunities in the ever-changing supermarket landscape,” Steffy said in the release. “The session will provide OPS attendees an overview of this growing category from the production side and the perspective from a pair of prominent retailers.
