The Oppenheimer Group will be the first to import the organic green seedless Arra 15 table grape variety into North America.

The new variety originates in the Buena Vista Valley, in Casma, Peru, according to a news release from Oppy. That’s the midpoint from grape harvests in Piura to the North and Ica to the south. They are grown by Fundo Los Paltos.

“Oppy has always prioritized innovation throughout its 162-year history and we are proud to consistently bring retailers what their customers are demanding,” Bill Poulos, Oppy director of import grapes and stone fruit, said in the release. “Our import grape season is already off to a fantastic start and with the addition of this new premium variety we are adding yet another first to our comprehensive and innovative grape program.”

Oppy is offering Sun World Innovations’ Midnight Beauty, Scarlotta Seedless, Sable Seedless, Autumncrisp and others, according to the release, showing flexibility in diversifying product mix. The company works with Peru’s Fundo Los Paltos to introduce the Arra 15, bringing medium and large Arra 15 grapes.
