Shannon Allen, founder of the Miami-based organic restaurant grown, will be a keynote speaker for The Packer’s Global Organic Expo in Hollywood, Fla.

Allen will address the event Feb. 1 at the breakfast general session.

Allen lives in Miami with her husband Ray Allen, who was inducted earlier this year into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and their children.

Allen launched her restaurant, Grown, in 2016 and there are six locations, including two at Hard Rock Stadium, home to the Miami Dolphins and University of Miami football team.

According to the Grown website, the restaurant concept evolved from Shannon Allen’s television show “The Pre-Game Meal,” which featured athletes and chefs preparing healthier version of tailgate foods to inspire moms and others to embrace better diets and exercise.

The Packer is partnering with the Organic Trade Association to create a dynamic mix of educational and inspiring speakers at GOPEX, Jan. 31 to Feb. 2. See the full agenda and register to attend at the GOPEX website.
