The Organic Trade Association is presenting a web seminar April 11 on its program to identify and stop fraud in the organic supply chain.

Gwendolyn Wyard, vice president of regulatory and technical affairs, will lead the seminar, focusing on the OTA’s Organic Fraud Prevention Solutions program.

The Organic Trade Association recently launched the program following a pilot to detect and prevent organic fraud in the organic supply chain, according to a news release. The web seminar will educate participants on best practices in preventing organic fraud.

Businesses can pre-enroll in the program, which is designed to complement and reinforce the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s organic standards.

The seminar is free for Organic Trade Association member and $149 for non-members.

Registration is online; direct questions to the association’s Libby Mucciarone at lmucciarone@ota.com.
