Emerson, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., has released Oversight 2, a cloud-based portal for real-time monitoring in-transit information.

Shippers can check on temperature of the product, the location of the vehicle making the delivery and other measurements that could affect the quality of the perishable cargo, according to a news release.

A new interface has enhanced functions, including faster response time, intuitive navigation and multi-language support.

“Our customers expect simple and timely access to the real-time information which we provide to give visibility and insight into the status of their valuable cargo,” Frank Landwehr, vice president and general manager of Cargo Solutions for Emerson, said in the release.

“Oversight 2, with its intuitive design, delivers robust automated reporting, real-time alert information, and historical reports which give our customers the information they need to make important decisions about the status of their in-transit cargo,” Landwehr said in the release.

The information from Oversight 2 and Oversight Mobile app are delivered exclusively through Emerson’s GO Real-Time Trackers, currently available for use with 2G, 3G and 4G cellular connectivity, according to the release.
