A new logo and a new website were unveiled this week by iFoodDecisionSciences, as the company continues to evolve and provide innovative software solutions and technical expertise to improve food safety, traceability, worker safety and product quality throughout the supply chain.

This comprehensive platform, combining the solutions of iFoodDecisionSciences and HarvestMark, will be offered under the iFoodDS banner.

Our company has seen many changes and new growth over the last 12 months, including the acquisition of HarvestMark and its line of traceability products,” says Scott Mathews, CEO of iFoodDS. “But we are excited for what’s to come as we introduce new products that continue to streamline and enhance value to our customers as well as partner with universities, trade associations and other companies to protect food workers and consumers.”

The company’s new website at www.iFoodDS.com provides easily accessible information for farmers, shippers, packers, processors, distributors and retailers and foodservice operators on how iFoodDS’ line of products can advance continuous improvements throughout the supply chain. The website’s new Knowledge Center was developed to be an industry-wide resource for information from iFoodDS’ scientists and technology experts on the latest advancements in food safety and worker safety as well as updates on regulatory changes that could impact businesses and operations.

“We are also working collaboratively with national and state trade associations to provide actionable information, specific to food safety, traceability and quality, through a series of webinars and other events to help companies more easily navigate existing and upcoming regulations as well as determine the best ways to advance continuous improvement,” explains Mathews. “Our new Knowledge Center has a list of the upcoming events or you can easily sign-up via the website to receive email alerts.”

In addition, the combined talents of the new iFoodDS will help customers meet technology-based objectives outlined under the Federal Food and Drug Adminstration’s (FDA) New Era of Smarter Food Safety blueprint. iFoodDS unique line of cloud-based software solutions provides real time assessment of the success of food safety practice implementation on a daily basis through digitized data, which gives farmers, shippers, packers and processors continuous oversight of their food safety performance.

The iFoodDS’ HarvestMark traceability product line provides instantaneous item-level traceability throughout the supply chain (not just one step forward and back) plus blockchain compatibility. Item-level traceability facilitates store level identification of products and can provide consumers the opportunity to learn more about the products they purchase.

“iFoodDS has emerged as the leading provider of food safety, traceability and quality software for the supply chain due to their innovative product lines and technological and scientific expertise,” says Vic Smith, member of the iFoodDS Board of Directors and CEO of JV Smith Companies. “The company is well-positioned to continue its evolution as a product innovator and solution provider as well as a thought leader for both its customers and the broader produce industry.”
