Yakima, Wash.-based Kwik Lok Corp. has unveiled its new 865B closing machine, said Karen Reed, global director of marketing and communications.

“It’s pretty much the state-of-the-art closing machine for heavier, high-volume products like apples, potatoes and onions,” she said. “It’s a new and improved edition of the 865.”

The machine, which was shown at the International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral Show in October, evolved out of work Kwik Lok did with its customers, she said.

“We learned about things that would make it easier for them to operate the machine and keep it operational,” she said.
