WeighPack Systems Inc., Montreal, has a new system that can vacuum pack produce and other foods.

The PrimoLinear V-5 net weight filling machine can dispense as little as 500 grams (just over a pound) to up to 10 pounds, according to a news release.

The system can be integrated with WeighPack’s Bingo Bagger wicket pouch machine.

The Bingo Bagger can fill polyethylene and laminate materials, and provide modified-atmosphere or vacuum packaging capabilities, according to the release. The machine can automatically vacuum/gas flush at the sealing station, reducing labor and improving food safety, according to the release.

WeighPack Systems is a Paxiom Group company.
