Buyers Edge Platform adds EVP

Jim Pazzanese, who has over 30 years of experience in foodservice operations and procurement, joins as its new executive vice president of global strategic procurement.

Buyers Edge Platform, a provider of procurement, analytics, and contract management solutions for the foodservice industry, says Jim Pazzanese has joined the company as its executive vice president of global strategic procurement.

Pazzanese has more than 30 years of experience in foodservice operations, supply chain management, and procurement strategy, according to a news release. Buyers Edge Platform said Pazzanese will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s global sourcing initiatives and strengthening its position in the industry.

Pazzanese has held senior leadership roles at Sodexo and serving as president of JP Consulting LLC. He has worked closely with the company through Optimbuy, building a proven track record of delivering innovation, fostering collaboration and advancing sustainability within the food and beverage sector, the release said.

Buyers Edge said Pazzanese will lead its global procurement and sourcing strategy, strengthen key partnerships and develop opportunities to grow its volume with manufacturers. His team includes Jodi Tobin, vice president of strategic manufacturer initiatives; Stephanie Scheuer-Behl, senior director of procurement; and James Kennedy, vice president of procurement for Europe.

Pazzanese is also a former board member of the Stop Hunger Foundation, reflecting his commitment to addressing critical issues within the industry and driving sustainable impact, the release said. Buyers Edge said he will continue to work with his clients at JP Consulting LLC, all of whom are members of Buyers Edge Platform’s network.
