Egg Harbor City, N.J.-based Consalo Family Farms has added Jay Schneider as executive vice president of sales and procurement and Casey Kio as executive vice president of global business, a pair of moves the company says reflect its commitment to growth.

Schneider brings more than 30 years of experience in the produce industry to his role. He previously spent 25 years at Acme Markets where he held the position of produce director and director of merchandising for the retailer’s mid-Atlantic division. He also held roles as head of buying and marketplace for Gorillas US, head of East Coast sales at Pacific Trellis Fruit. In his most recent role, he grew top-line sales and drove awareness as director of sales and operations at F&S Fresh Foods, according to a news release.

Consalo Family Farms said Schneider will bring a strong retail perspective and focus on product management, bolstering the company’s market offerings.

Kio has more than 20 years of experience in the global citrus and grape industry. Consalo Family Farms said she brings extensive knowledge of international markets and a strong background in developing global business strategies.

Kio held leadership roles at Seald Sweet, Sierra Produce, AMC Direct (now known as AM Fresh) and most recently at Produce Pay, according to the release.

Consalo Family Farms said she will leverage her skills in building strategic partnerships and navigating international supply chains to help the company expand its global operations.
