Miami, Fla.-based produce supplier Continental Fresh LLC says Robert Cabili, vice president of sales and marketing, has been awarded the GenNext Award from Progressive Grocer.
The award recognizes the industry’s innovative and impactful young leaders who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their organizations, colleagues and communities, according to a news release.
Under Cabili’s leadership, Continental Fresh says it has expanded its influence as a top importer of fresh produce from Latin America, particularly within the mango category.
As the architect behind significant growth strategies, Cabili’s initiatives have propelled the company’s year-over-year sales by 156% and positioned Continental Fresh as the 9th largest importer of mangos from Mexico, the release said, adding that his keen insights and dedication to sustainable supply chains have driven both business success and customer trust.
Through Continental Fresh’s Water For All program, Cabili has helped raise over $150,000 to fund clean water and sanitation projects in Latin America, directly impacting underserved communities, the release said.
“Water For All goes beyond business — it’s a mission to improve lives and uplift communities,” Cabili said. “Knowing our work brings clean water and opportunity to people who need it most is incredibly rewarding.”
In addition to Cabili’s GenNext Award, Continental Fresh received Progressive Grocer’s Grocery Impact Award for philanthropic innovation and corporate giving, a recognition of the company’s dedication to fostering meaningful change, the release said.
“Robert’s leadership has been essential to our success and our mission,” said Continental Fresh CEO Albert Perez. “His visionary approach and compassionate drive reflect the values we uphold at Continental Fresh, and this award celebrates not only his accomplishments but the profound impact he has made.”
