DNO Produce announced Sept. 2 that Dan Baker has joined the company as vice president of sales and marketing. Baker brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the value-added produce industry, with expertise spanning sales management, business development and marketing.

“We are excited to welcome Dan to the DNO team,” says Alex DiNovo, president and chief operations officer of DNO Produce. “He brings a wealth of knowledge, strong industry relationships and a proven track record of strategic leadership. Dan’s perspective and connections across the supply chain will be invaluable as we continue to grow and expand our reach.”

Baker shares his enthusiasm for the new role: “I’m thrilled to be joining DNO Produce at such an exciting time. The company’s commitment to quality, innovation and customer success resonates strongly with me. I’ve seen firsthand how innovation and customer focus drive lasting growth. DNO has already achieved tremendous success, and I look forward to helping lead the next phase of expansion — broadening our reach regionally and nationally and catapulting us to the next level.”

Throughout his career, Baker has held leadership roles with nationally recognized value-added processing companies, one of the largest produce management organizations in the industry, and specialty grower and processing firms, giving him a comprehensive perspective on the fresh produce supply chain. He has successfully partnered with regional distributors, independent operators and national restaurant chains, building long-standing connections across the foodservice segment.

With Baker’s leadership, DNO Produce will continue to strengthen its sales and marketing strategy, furthering its mission to make fresh, healthy produce accessible to more people across the Midwest and beyond.
