Fieldwork Robotics, developers of autonomous and selective robotic harvesting solutions, has appointed experienced Silicon Valley executive leader Micki Seibel as a non-executive director.

“Building out the expertise of our senior advisers is a key part of our expansion plans, and I’m thrilled to welcome Micki to the Fieldwork Robotics team,” Fieldwork Robotics CEO David Fulton said in a news release. “Micki’s experience and insight will be invaluable to us as we continue to scale up. The U.S. is a key target market for Fieldwork, and our appointment of Micki underlines our commitment towards expansion into the region.”

Seibel has more than 25 years of experience leading early-stage startups through go-to-market strategy, fundraising, software and technical engineering, according to the release. The company said she has been an adviser for several climate tech startups operating in the agri-tech sector including PittMoss, Wexus Technologies and Swarm Technologies (acquired by SpaceX).

Fieldwork Robotics said Seibel’s experience and passion for solving challenges will help guide it through the next stages of its expansion in the U.S., Portugal and Australia.

“The growing labor gap is a huge issue for farmers and growers across the world, and we desperately need innovative technologies like Fieldwork’s to help solve some of the underlying issues agriculture is facing,” Seibel said in the release. “I am impressed by the technology that David, Martin and the rest of the team have worked tirelessly to create. It solves a real-world problem for raspberry growers and I am excited to be joining Fieldwork at such a pivotal stage in the company’s development.”
