Good Foods, Pleasant Prairie, Wis., has hired Maria Nakasone as brand manager

Good Foods, Pleasant Prairie, Wis., has hired Maria Nakasone as brand manager.

She has more than 15 years of experience in brand and category management, according to a news release. She’s worked for Safeway, ShopKo and Kmart.

As brand manager, Nakasone will help the company’s brand growth with suppliers, retailer and consumers, according to the release. She’ll work with Good Foods’ marketing team to promote new ideas in addition to working on new launches and media opportunities, according to the release.

“Maria’s experience and unique perspective paired with her leadership style is exactly what our brand needs to continue growing,” Danyel O’Connor, executive vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release.

“I am proud to be a part of this forward-thinking and innovative team,” Nakasone said. “I’ve always been passionate about customer-focused innovation and product development, and Good Foods commitment to both is exemplary.”
