The International Mango Organization and International Pineapple Organization hired Patrick Kelly as the director of innovation, a new role for both groups.

Kelly has been a supporter of the pineapple organization and has spoken at several of its conferences, according a blog post on the organization’s website. He is a professor at a Tampa, Fla.-area college and specializes in entrepreneurial skills, helping newer companies succeed, according to the blog.

Patrick most recently worked for a “publicly traded agricultural concern,” according to the blog.
