JOH Welcomes Brendan Burns as SVP

Burns joins JOH from Gutsy Inc., where he most recently served as senior vice president of sales, bringing a quarter-century of CPG experience spanning beverage and produce sectors across multiple retail channels.

Brendan Burns has joined JOH as senior vice president of produce, metro. The company says Burns brings more than 25 years of consumer packaged goods experience across the beverage and produce categories, building high-performing teams and helping grow nationally recognized brands.

Throughout his career, he has led sales initiatives across a wide range of retail channels, including club, mass, grocery, foodservice and hospitality.

Burns’ background includes leadership roles with industry-leading organizations such as Red Bull North America, Vita Coco, Bai Brands, Watermelon Water, Bolthouse Farms/Generous Brands and, most recently, Gutsy Inc. (Culture Pop Soda), where he served as senior vice president of sales.

JOH says Burns has earned a reputation for driving growth, building strong customer relationships, developing talented teams and successfully scaling both emerging and established brands.

Originally from New Rochelle, N.Y., Burns lives in Fairfield, Conn., with his wife of 25 years, Amy. Together, they have two daughters, Ellie and Maren. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, reading, volunteering in his community, following New York sports, playing paddle tennis and captaining a local bowling league.
