West Coast Editor Boling and Content Coordinator/Copy Editor Treolo both started Dec. 15 and bring extensive experience to their positions.

Boling, based in Fresno, Calif., has worked in numerous roles that connect with the industry, including stints in journalism and as a professional for several fruit and vegetable marketers in California’s San Joaquin Valley.

Boling has a master of arts in communication from California State University in Fresno.

In addition to a recent grower relations role at Suntreat-AC Foods, Boling has also worked at Enjoy Magazine, Lotpath Inc., The Produce News, the Reedley Exponent and at various California community colleges as a communications instructor.

“Ed is a uniquely gifted communicator,” said Editor Tom Karst. “His presence in California’s Central San Joaquin Valley will benefit The Packer’s editorial coverage throughout the entire state.”

Treolo earned a bachelor’s degree from Washburn University and has

worked in journalism and publishing for more than 15 years.

Her experience includes a role as a copy editor/page designer for the Lawrence Journal-World, and a role as a copy editor for Ascend Learning in Leawood, Kan.

Karst said Treolo’s skills in copy editing, organization and design will help The Packer publications tremendously.
