Ocean Mist Farms has hired Paul Scheid as vice president of production.

Scheid will work with Jeff Percy, vice president of production-South, focusing on year-round supplies of conventional and organic brands, according to a news release. Scheid will manage crops for the Salinas Valley, Huron and Oxnard production areas.

He has more than 25 years of experience in farming. He’s the former director of northern production supply for Laguna Mist Farms and Boutonnet Farms, both in Castroville, Calif. While there, he built and maintained Salinas planting schedules and oversaw production operations.

“I am happy to join the Ocean Mist Farms family and look forward to this new opportunity with a respected company,” Scheid said in the release. “I’m pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of Ocean Mist Farms.”
