Spice World names new R&D director

Orlando, Fla.-based garlic company Spice World has appointed Lisa Rosenberg as its director of research and development. In this newly created role, Rosenberg will lead Spice World’s innovation program designed to capitalize on consumers’ focus on convenient, fresh flavors, the company said.

“Lisa is an accomplished leader in the food R&D space with an excellent innovation approach and business acumen,” Spice World CEO Chris Kiser said in a news release. “We are thrilled she has joined our team to lead our next phase of new product development and innovation for our garlic, onion and convenient flavor offerings.”

Before joining Spice World, Rosenberg served as the innovation manager at Peapod Digital Labs of Ahold Delhaize. She helped develop new products for private-label brands for Ahold Delhaize’s fresh and center-store banners. She also served as project manager and product development senior scientist for PepsiCo in both Quaker and hydration and carbonated soft drink portfolio projects in New York and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

She earned a master’s degree in business administration from Fordham University, a master’s degree in food science from North Carolina State University and a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and food science from the University of Vermont.
