Sprouts Farmers Market has promoted Daniel Spivey to national director of produce for fruit.

Spivey, who previously served as senior category manager for avocados, stone fruit and citrus, will report to Sonya Constable, vice president of produce at Sprouts.

The company said Spivey previously held positions in operations, buying and category management. Sprouts said it will mark his 10-year anniversary with the company later this year.

“Daniel has played an important role in produce over the past year as we have evolved the way we manage the business,” Constable told The Packer.

Reporting to Spivey will be Jason Glunt, senior sourcing manager for berries; Erin Tice, senior category manager for cherries, bananas, apples and pears; and David Dudley, senior category manager for grapes, melons and tropical.
