Wenatchee, Wash.-based grower-shipper CMI Orchards LLC continues to test new brands and apple varieties to go with its existing products, said George Harter, vice president of marketing.

“At our facilities, we’re constantly investing in the latest technologies that offer enhanced quality visibility and assessments, packing-line efficiencies and accuracy in shipments to our customers,” Harter said.

Meanwhile, CMI has expanded acreage in the past year, Harter said.

“On the orchard side, we’re growing in our acreage year-over-year, and, with the addition of new packingshed partnerships, our manifest is stronger than it’s ever been,” he said.

“It remains incredibly important to our organization that we stay on the cutting edge of marketing innovations, including both in-person merchandising and packaging, plus digital marketing — these vehicles help us deliver 360-degree support for retailers that want to see strong sales performance.”
