The Washington Apple Education Foundation has a new scholarship resource website, www.scholarshipresources.org.

The site contains information from the foundation’s scholarship training curriculum normally delivered personally by the foundation’s staff. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the website serves the scholarship information needs of college-bound students, according to a news release.

Every school year, the Washington Apple Education Foundation staff make visits to 45 school districts in the foundation’s coverage area to talk directly to students to help in the application process.

The scholarship training site information is based on the review of hundreds of applications by the foundation’s scholarship committee volunteers.

The foundation also is conducting three web seminars for students starting in October; the foundation will be providing school counselors with information.

The foundation awards more than $1 million in scholarships annually to new and renewing students whose parents are employed in the tree fruit industry.
